Apple berusaha mematahkan dominasi ultrabook sebagai yang teringan lewat MacBook Pro 13 Inchi, dengan desain yang mempesona, dilengkapi dengan teknologi Retina Display dan dimensi tipis plus super ringan.

Bicara dimensi, MacBook Pro terbaru ini memiliki ketebalan hanya 1,9 cm, 20 persen lebih tipis dibandingkan dengan MacBook Pro 13 Inchi pendahulunya. Dari segi berat, MacBook Pro ini pun memiliki bobot yang sangat ringan, hanya 450 gram, hampir sama dengan bobot sebagian besar tablet yang beredar di pasaran.

MacBook Pro ini juga dilengkapi dengan dua port Thunderbolt dan dua port USB 3.0. Sebagai tambahan, Apple juga menyematkan SD card reader pada MacBook ini. MacBook ini telah menggunakan layar IPS Retina Display, yang memiliki resolusi 2560 x 1600 piksel dengan densitas piksel mencapai 227 ppi.
